HARRIERS will be hoping a 25-day enforced absence from action will have allowed their new faces to settle in, as they look to make a winning start to 2016 at home to Guiseley tomorrow (3pm ko).

Kidderminster have not kicked a ball in a competitive game since December 28 but it’s also been a chance for the club’s new and returning faces to bed in.

Ousmane Fane and Arthur Gnahoua are set for debuts, while Keith Lowe is expected to start after coming back to the club after a seven-year absence.

Tyrone Williams is also back from a successful loan spell at Hednesford Town and could be set for his first senior appearance for the Reds.

It will also be Luke Maxwell’s first game since signing for Birmingham City and returning on-loan, while the clash at Aggborough is also set to be Matthew Barnes-Homer’s final game on-loan from Aldershot.

Harriers will be hoping their first game of the year, after clashes against Cheltenham and Braintree were called off, will also be the start of a concerted effort to escape relegation in the Vanarama National League.

Kidderminster are bottom, 13 points from safety, with 60 points to play for, so their chances of survival look slim.

Chief executive Colin Gordon takes over as caretaker boss for the second time this season after Dave Hockaday departed at the start of the month.

They face a Guiseley side who have just once in the last eight league games as they slip towards the relegation zone.

The Yorkshire outfit have only won once in their travels in the league this season, although they did bag an encouraging draw at Grimsby and defeated Dulwich Hamlets in the FA Trophy last weekend.

Harriers’ on-loan Bournemouth midfielder Ben Whitfield graduated from Guiseley’s youth academy before securing a move to the Cherries in 2014.
