JOHN Eustace was disappointed Harriers had to settle for a frustrating 1–1 draw against Boston United.

The Reds had taken lead when defender Joe Robinson scored an own goal inside three minutes.

Despite dominating the game, which was marred by a storm throughout, and creating a host of chances they were denied a crucial second goal by a combination of good goalkeeping by Christian Dibble, the woodwork and gutsy United defending.

Joe Maguire's 85th minute equaliser provided the sting in the tail and ended Harriers' 100 per cent win record away from home in the National League North.

"I was very happy with the performance, Boston is a tough place to come and they have a very good and experienced manager," said The Kiddy boss.

"This is a good learning curve for my team."

Ryan Croasdale made his first start for Harriers after replacing the suspended Ash Carter in midfield.

The late goal also saw Harriers slip out of the top five, although they remain handily placed in sixth spot.

Eustace added: "I thought young Ryan Croasdale had a good game, he did a lot of the dirty work that people do not always see.

"I was pleased with the whole team, it was a great team performance.

"I was really disappointed not to get the three points but it is another one in the board and we move on."

Harriers return to Aggborough on Monday to tackle fellow relegated side Altrincham (3pm ko).
