HARRIERS looks set for a £40,000 cash windfall after the sale of Marvin Johnson to Oxford United last night.

The winger (pictured) was sold to Motherwell in January 2015 for £25,000 but with a 10 per cent sell on fee.

While the figure was undisclosed, The Shuttle understands the Reds will receive around £40,000 for the winger.

But they will also have to pay Romulus a small amount as part of their deal to sign him in 2012.

Johnson finally got his wish of a move to English football after submitting a transfer request.

Scottish Premier League side Motherwell had put a £1 million price tag on the wideman, with boss Mark McGhee claiming the U's could not afford him.

However, it is clear the clubs came to some arrangement below that figure, with Johnson moving for an undisclosed fee.
