HARRIERS silenced the Lambs on Tuesday as they hit Tamworth for six in a 6-0 win in the National League North.

Harriers had the luxury of naming an unchanged sixteen for this game on the back of the impressive win over title-chasing Salford City just days prior.

If in going with the same set of charges boss John Eustace was hoping for a similar kind of performance produced against the City, he wasn't disappointed - a storming start rewarded with a 14-minute opening goal as Dieseruvwe rose to meet a Waite cross beyond goalkeeper James Belshaw to record his fourth goal of a profitable season so far.

Arthur Gnahoua tried to double the lead almost instantly but struck an effort over the bar, the marauding Ngwatala then going close with 23 on the clock as his angled drive was well parried away by Belshaw with Tamworth scampering to cover.

Gnahoua did make it two, however, just two minutes later as he picked up on McQuilkin's ball before jinxing past his man and firing the ball firmly past Belshaw and into the back of his net.

The chances continued to come with Tunnicliffe nodding a Gnahoua cross wide inside the last ten minutes of the half, a third goal arriving and duly deserved it was as McQuilkin tucked the ball home after Francis-Angol's low cross was blocked into his path.

The fourth goal arrived on the hour mark and without any real dent on the Harriers goal from the visitors in the interim; Ngwatala finding out McQuilkin superbly with a cross-field ball before he nodded into the path of Waite who cut inside, hugging the ball before slotting it beyond Belshaw at the near post.

Substitute Truslove saw an effort cleared off the line as the home side pushed for a fifth with a little more than 15 minutes left, before turning provider for Waite who curled a shot just wide of the post.

The subs were clearly in the mood and before the night was over there were two goals and they both came from the bench, Austin driving a deflected effort into the far corner, low and hard after he advanced unchallenged and then Truslove adding a sixth with a powerful run and shot.
