HEAD coach Matt Gardiner says there is more to come from Harriers after their hard-fought win over Leamington.

A penalty from Joe Ironside and a late Mani Sonupe strike handed them a 2-0 win at Aggborough on Tuesday night.

Gardiner said: "We thought they (Leamington) were really well organised. They have an experienced manager and a good group of players.

"It was always going to be difficult to break them down and we knew we had to be patient and eventually we got over the line.

"You can see we looked a little leggy tonight but we have four or five players that haven't had a pre-season, so we're trying to catch them up and play them into games. You can see they're not quite firing yet but it's something we're trying to manage.

"The lads dug in, got the clean sheet and got the two goals, so we're happy.

"There is a lot more to come from the group. We got there in the end and we'll take the positives."

Harriers will now go to Salford City this Saturday.

Gardiner added: "They're all tough games in this league but the gaffer will get us prepared and we'll go it o it with confidence and do our best to be competitive on the day.

"I think you can see there is a bit more fluidity now. The more we play, the more we get to work with the group, the benefits will come through in the coming weeks."
