Aiming to take the shine off Diamonds

HARRIERS will be aiming to maintain their excellent recent record against Rushden and Diamonds when they welcome them to Aggborough for a Blue Square Premier clash on Saturday.

The home side have not lost in the league to Rushden for the last three seasons and also did the double over them in the 2007-08 campaign.

Infact the hosts will be keen to avenge a 3-1 loss to Gary Hill's side in the Setanta Shield in March.

Harriers go into the game with a new spring in their step after beating Altrincham 4-0 at home and drawing 2-2 at Burton over the Bank Holiday weekend.

There will also be a clash of the bank balances, as thrifty Harriers take on big-spending Rushden.

While manager Mark Yates has scoured the market for up-and-coming players, Rushden have shown how deep their pockets go with some ambitious additions to their squad.

Hill has totally revamped the squad and splashed the cash on hitman Daryl Clare, Rob Wolleaston and recently brought in former Chelsea and Brighton stiker Leon Knights last week.

Yates has a full-strength squad to choose from, while the visitors will be without the suspended Curtis Woodhouse and Lee Tomlin, while Clare, Marcus Kelly and Phil Gulliver are out injured.

Shuttle On-Line will have team line-ups and live match updates from just before the 3pm kick-off.
