MIDFIELDER Russ Penn became Burton Albion's record signing after Harriers accepted an undisclosed fee for the player.
Harriers had slapped a £50,000 price tag on the 23-year-old, which Burton seemed reluctant to meet last week, but both clubs have agreed a fee.
Penn, who has signed a two-year deal at the Pirelli Stadium, joined Harriers in 2005 from Scarborough and became a first team regular.
He signed a two-year deal at Harriers last season but after Harriers missed out on the Blue Square Premier's promotion play-offs last season, he reiterated his desire to play in the Football League.
“As soon as I heard the news a few weeks ago I was eager to come.
"Absolutely nothing against Kidderminster, I have had four great years there but I have always played well when I have come here, it’s a great set-up and I know a few of the lads and I really
wanted to come and be a part of Burton."
Manager Mark Yates was sad to see one of his players leave but thanked Penn for his time at the club.
"Russ has been fantastic for the club over the last four years and we're very grateful for his efforts.
"The lure of the Football League is the only reason why he's leaving and we wish him luck in the future."
