CHRIS McPhee dedicated his goal to the army of Harriers fans who came out in force to watch their FA Trophy derby against Worcester.

The captain's 53rd minute goal settled a tense derby clash at St George's Lane and ensured Harriers will now meet Oxford United in the last eight of the FA Trophy on Saturday, February 20.

Harriers were made to work hard by plucky Worcester, so when the goal came it was a moment of elation for the player and 400 strong away army.

McPhee said: "It's a good game to score in and it was right in front of our fans.

"They were excellent throughout and gave us plenty of support and we're delighted they could go home happy."

The game had been called off on Saturday because of a frozen pitch at short notice and although the game was given the go-ahead last night, McPhee felt the playing surface wasn't any better than at the weekend.

"The pitch was a bit hard and in my opinion it was harder than it was on Saturday.

"I thought Worcester had the better of the chances but I thought we dealt with them well and were pleased to come out with a victory.

"Worcester were brilliant in the last 10 minutes as they really piled the pressure on and credit to the back four and goalkeeper as they held firm and defended extremely well."
