Harriers look set to lose captain Exodus Geohaghon after he expressed a wish to join Blue Square Bet Premier rivals Mansfield.

The defender was not in the squad as the Aggborough outfit slipped to their fourth straight loss at Dartford.

His replacement in the side Chey Dunkley was impressive on his Conference Premier debut.

But afterwards, a disappointed Burr revealed Mansfield had made an offer Geohaghon wanted to accept.

That is a kick in the teeth for Harriers, who moved heaven and Earth to attract the former Kettering defender this summer and even made him captain.

With Geohaghon contracted until summer 2013, Harriers will be in a strong position to demand a fee for the want away defender.

Burr said: "Mansfield have spoken to him about joining them and I asked him what he wanted to do and he said it was too good an offer to turn down.

"I only want players who want to be at the club and I thought young Chey Dunkley did a good job."

In a further setback, midfielder Jack Byrne is facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines after rupturing his Achilles. Byrne had been playing well but after an innocuous fall, had to be stretchered off.
