51:00: From a corner, Chris McPhee heads goalwards, Chris Swailes clears away. Lee Baker then powers down the left and whips in a cross that is just too strong for everyone in the box.

40:00: Good play by Harriers for their second. Darryl Knights slipped it to Matthew Barnes-Homer, who has his back to goal. The pacey hitman turns and the ball breaks loose. Brian Smikle nips into the box unchallenged and slots beyond Jim Provett.

33:00: Chris McPhee sees two chances just missed! From a corner his overhead kick is blocked by Craig Baxter. Harriers retrieve the ball and from just under the bar he heads over.

32:00: The odds goals have turned this into an open game.. Darryl Knights breaks into the box and just has to pull it back to Matthew Barnes-Homer but steps on the ball.

30:00: Harriers have a corner to defender. Kris Gates gets a head to it but his powerful effort is at Dean Coleman, who does well to hold onto it.

27:00: Matthew Barnes-Homer shoots over! Good play by Harriers. Nathan Hayward gets the ball and slips it to David McDermott. He skips past a defender, slips a low ball in but the striker shoots over when he should score.

25:00: It was a good break that led to Harriers' leveller. Matthew Barnes-Homer races onto a loose ball, slips down the right and delivers a decent cross. Brian Smikle lurks ready to score at the near post but Gateshead defender Swailes beats him to it and nods the ball emphatically into the top corner. A gift for the home side.

12:00: That was an odd goal to let in. Martin Riley fouled Graeme Armstrong. Alex Francis swept in a low dangerous ball. It might have taken a touch off the huge Armand One and flew past a static goalkeeper.

4:00: Gateshead try to apply some pressure. A flick-on header from Armand One and Dean Bennett gives away a free-kick when Craig Baxter crashes into him. From the 30-yards out, Alex Francis sees his low shot fly very wide.

0:00: There's a big round of applause for Martin Brittain, who went out onto the Aggborough pitch on his crutches. The winger suffered a double leg break in Gateshead's draw against Hayes and Yeading.

James Curtis, Christoph Ashcerl and Stephan Pelonde are all dropped from the squad. In goal is Jim Provett, with a back four of Craig Baxter (RB), Mark Robinson (CB), Chris Swailes (CB) and Phil Cave (LB). The midfield three has Alex Francis on the right, Kris Gate in the centre and Phil Turnbull on the left. Up front, Gateshead have the imposing Armand One, Phil MacKay (on-loan from Hartlepool) and Graeme Armstrong.

0:00: Centreback Gavin Caines (ankle) and midfielder Dean Bennett (sore toe) have both overcame injuries to be picked for Harriers' starting line-up, as manager Mark Yates selected the same side that drew 1-1 at Histon last week. Former Harriers winger Martin Brittain iss also at the game on crutches, after suffering double leg break that ruled him out for the rest of the Blue Square Premier campaign.
