4:42pm Sat 28 Aug 10: Sam Foley spurns two chances to pile more misery on Harriers. First, he shoots wide after good work by Kerry Morgan. A minute later, he cuts in from the right only to stab a weak effort into the arms of Danny Lewis.
4:40pm Sat 28 Aug 10: Mike Williams scampers down the left wing and sends in a cross. Lee Morris's rising shot is well-held by keeper Glyn Thompson.

4:38pm Sat 28 Aug 10: Harriers forge their first meaningful attack. Lee Morris races onto Nick Wright's ball. He delivers a low raking cross and Marc Williams bundles wide.
4:35pm Sat 28 Aug 10: Michael Briscoe's free-kick is high and wide.
4:32pm Sat 28 Aug 10: Substitution With a quarter of the match to go, Harriers desperately need a goal. Lee Morris strips off and prepares to come on. He replaces Aman Verma.
4:27pm Sat 28 Aug 10: Substitution Kerry Morgan comes on for Darryl Knights.
4:27pm Sat 28 Aug 10: Substitution Craig Reid once again finds the space in Harriers' back four when he races onto Danny Rose's pass but he's just offside. Newport still look more likely to add to the score.
4:20pm Sat 28 Aug 10: Nick Wright tries to race past Paul Bignot but the Harriers strike is helf off easily.
4:20pm Sat 28 Aug 10: Harriers are seeing more of the ball but have created little.
4:14pm Sat 28 Aug 10: Marc Williams gets into the box and does well to turn but his shot is blocked by Gary Warren.
4:13pm Sat 28 Aug 10: Goal! There looks no way back for Harriers now after Craig Reid slots home the penalty. Aman Verma pushed Marcus Bignot in the box.
4:09pm Sat 28 Aug 10: Michael Briscoe clears just in front of his own goal. Charlie Henry had delivered a low cross after bring teed up by Craig Reid.
4:06pm Sat 28 Aug 10: Substitution Tom Shaw is hauled off for Jack Byrne in midfield.
3:48pm Sat 28 Aug 10: Half time Harriers go into the break needing a big push after the break. They've rode their luck but have been overwhelmed by the hosts in the final 15 minutes of the half.
3:43pm Sat 28 Aug 10: Goal! Craig Reid doubles Newport's advantage when he sends Danny Lewis the wrong way and slams a penalty into the bottom corner. Harriers feel the decision was a bit harsh on skipper Keith Briggs and there's a suggestion he was outside of the box.
3:41pm Sat 28 Aug 10: Danny Lewis does really well to dive to his right and get a hand to Robbie Matthews' free-kick.
3:40pm Sat 28 Aug 10: Craig Reid swaps passes with Charlie Henry and lofts into the goal but the ball is cleared and Newport are denied.
3:38pm Sat 28 Aug 10: Harriers almost get back on level terms. David Hankin wins the ball off Eddie Odhiambo and delivers a cross but Gary Warren beats Marc Williams to it in the air and clears.
3:35pm Sat 28 Aug 10: Goal! Robbie Matthews' sweet free-kick arcs around the ball and beats an outstretched Danny Lewis into his top left corner.
3:33pm Sat 28 Aug 10: Emergency centreback Chris McPhee heads a long ball forward behind for Newport corner. Danny Lewis misses the delivery and Danny Rose looks as though he's headed it into the back of the net but a Harriers player clears it off the line.
3:30pm Sat 28 Aug 10: Really good game this, with Newport shading it. This time Jamie Collins' 30-yard effort flies wide. A diving Danny Lewis would have had it covered.
3:25pm Sat 28 Aug 10: Marc Williams wastes a golden chance! Newport's defence is bunched up and exposed by ball over the top. The on-loan Wrexham man rounds the keeper but goes too wide and hits the post.
3:22pm Sat 28 Aug 10: Danny Lewis produced a superb save! Craig Reid had done well to chest down a long ball foward and fire a shot across his body. It looks destined to fly into Lewis' bottom left corner but he flings himself at it instinctively and pushes it onto the post.
3:20pm Sat 28 Aug 10: Substitution Bad news here. Tom Sharpe has to come off and looks groggy. He's repladed by Chris McPhee.
3:19pm Sat 28 Aug 10: Harriers have a moment of fortune. Darryl Knights, who has switched from the left wing to the right abd back again, races onto Robbie Matthews' header and flashes a low ball across the box. It hits Tom Sharpe and ball ricochets away.
3:17pm Sat 28 Aug 10: Harriers see some of the ball but on two occasions a pass out wide goes out of play. Marc Williams is ruled out offside racing onto Aman Verma's lofted pass.
3:15pm Sat 28 Aug 10: Both teams are trying to play good football. Michael Briscoe flings himself to block Danny Rose's attempt at a 20-yard shot.
3:13pm Sat 28 Aug 10: Harriers are getting into the game. Aman Verma flashes a low shot from the edge of the box wide. That all came from Keith Briggs' persistence and David Hankin's cross not being cleared properly.
3:11pm Sat 28 Aug 10: Mike Williams does well to win off Charlie Henry as he drives into the box.
3:10pm Sat 28 Aug 10: Delay in the game as Keith Briggs and Jamie Collins need some treatment after a clash of bodies. Both are fine to go on after the physios take a look.
3:07pm Sat 28 Aug 10: Marc Williams heads over from David Hankin's corner. Harriers were lucky to win the set piece after Aman Verma's wayward cross was put behind by keeper Glyn Thompson.
3:06pm Sat 28 Aug 10: Mike Williams does well to track back and put off Robbie Matthews as he races into the box onto Danny Rose's through ball. Newport have started very brightly.
3:03pm Sat 28 Aug 10: Danny Lewis does well to pluck Charlie Henry's cross out of the air under pressure. He drops it under pressure from Robbue Matthews but collect it again smartly.
3:00pm Sat 28 Aug 10: Worry for Harriers Craig Reid flashes a shot goal wards but Danny Lewis gets a touch and puts it wide. The Newport corner is punched away and the referee blows for a Harriers free-kick.
3:00pm Sat 28 Aug 10: Newport gaffer Dean Holdsworth has three former Harriers in his starting line-up and one on the bench. With Lee Baker out with a foot injury, he misses out. Marcus Bignot plays are right back, while Darryl Knights makes his first league start for County on left midfield. He will support ex-Aggborough targetman Robbie Matthews. Otherwise, Newport's have Glyn Thompson in goal, while the centrebacks are Garry Warren and vastly experienced Chris Todd, with Bignot the right and Eddie Odhiambo the left. James Collins wil be the defensive midfielder in a 4-1-3-2 formation. Ahead of him will be Danny Ross, flanked by Knights and Charlie Henry. Matthews then partners Craig Reid up front.
3:00pm Sat 28 Aug 10: I also forgot to mention that Lee Vaughan makes his Conference Premier debut for Harriers ar right-back after serving his four-match ban. D'Oh!
3:00pm Sat 28 Aug 10: THERE are three to changes Harriers' line-up from their battling draw at Wrexham. With Callum Gittings out with his shin injury, new signing Aman Verma makes his debut, probably on the left wing. Tom Shaw moves into central midfield alongside Keith Briggs, with Jack Byrne on the bench. In a surprise move, Lee Morris starts on the bench and Marc Williams makes his first start for Harriers since joining the club on loan. With Chris McPhee, Byrne, Morris and Matty Blair on the bench, that's a healthy looking bench.
