3:47pm Sat 27 Aug 11: Half time That's the break. Harriers finally got going in the last 15 minutes of the half and if not for the heroics of Nemes, they would be edging it. Let's hope they can build on that in the second half.

3:43pm Sat 27 Aug 11: Marc Williams is denied by a super save. Scott Phelan's cross finds the striker eight yards out and he fires goalwards but a grounded Nemes somehow blocks with his body.

3:39pm Sat 27 Aug 11: Medley has looked dangerous when he gets the ball and Phelan is trying to get things going with some ambitious passing. Southport don't seem bothered to get forward apart from sporadic attacks. It's slightly better from Harriers.

3:31pm Sat 27 Aug 11: Marc Williams shows tremendous desire to win the ball off the hulking Earl Davis. The balls falls to Luke Medley, who shimmies past a defender and threads a ball into defence but none of his team mates read it.
3:25pm Sat 27 Aug 11: Tom Marshall climbs highest to meet Scott Phelan's corner. It hits the Harriers man and ricochets off the keeper, who didn't know much about it himself. That's the home sides first chance on goal.
3:20pm Sat 27 Aug 11: Luke Medley comes to life. Scott Phelan picks him out with a lovely cross field pass. Medley gets free and while his initial cross is blocked, he gets the ball back and drives between two defenders and drags a shot wide.
3:17pm Sat 27 Aug 11: First shot on target falls to Southport. Karl Ledsham gets down the right wing and cross. Tony Gray's header is straight at Danny Lewis.
3:15pm Sat 27 Aug 11: Substitution Southport change 16 mins: Grand has never recovered from Matt's power and is replaced by Steve Akrigg.
3:11pm Sat 27 Aug 11: Harriers create a chance. Scott Phelan drives forward and fires a pass in to Matt, who outmuscles Simon Grand and flicks the ball to Luke Medley for a one-on-one with the keeper. Referee blows for a foul and FK for away side.

The Hatters pair start on the bench. Keeper Matt Nemes debuts. Luke Medley starts on the right of a front free instead of Nick Wright, while Scott Phelan replaces Callum Gittings. Jack Byrne, who is back from suspension, is on the bench as is Dave Hankin. This is the first time these two have featured in the squad. It's also the first time Harriers boss Steve Burr has made changes this week.
