Interesting test for Mickey Demetriou today, I remember when Jack Mackreth gave him a torrid time playing for Barrow. But since then, Harriers' left-back has developed into a excellent player.

2:53pm

With an FA Cup game against Premier League side Wigan next week, it will be interesting to see how focused Macc are for Harriers. The fact they moved heaven and Earth to get the game on makes me think they will be up for this.

But Harriers will also be looking forward to this game. After nine wins in ten they are flying and with their excellent defensive record, they always fancy their chances of a win.

2:45pm

Former Reds hitman Matthew Barnes-Homer is back in the Macc team after missing the last two with injury.

Macclesfield: Cronin, Brown, Mackreth, Murtagh, Barnes-Homer, Wedpdgbury, Kissock, Fairhurst, Braham-Barrett, Audel, Mills.
Subs not used: Jackson, Morgan-Smith, Winn, Diagne, Henry.
Referee: S Stockbridge

Harriers make one change to starting 11 as Keith Briggs comes back from injury to replace James Vincent, who has a knee problem.

Danny Pilkington is on the bench after a spell on the sidelines.

Harriers: Lewis, Vaughan, Demetriou, Storer, Rowe, Malbon, Johnson, Gittings, Briggs, Dunkley, Gowling.

Subs: Williams, Pilkington, Shakes, N Vaughan.

2:19pm

Well, the players are out training on the Moss Rose pitch. It is chilly and must be close to zero in terms of temperature but I am looking forward to this game.

Steve Burr is an absolute legend at Macc, scoring 182 goals for them, but he will be looking for his side to repeat last week's fine away win at Mansfield.

1:42pm

Good afternoon folks, here we are at Moss Rose. Macclesfield has not been hit as hard as the Midlands in terms of snow and Silkmen have done a good job of clearing the pitch.
