Great piece of opportunism by the in-form Malbon. He chased a long ball forward by Demetriou on the left but when Edwards rushed too far out of his box, the young striker angled a beautiful drive into the back of the net.

52- Harriers looking more purposeful so far bit Kyle Storer had missed a really good chance! Marvin Johnson plays ball across the box and it just needs a touch but he fires wide!

46- Harriers nearly take the lead early in the second half. Malbon crosses but Pearson sees his header hit the woodwork.

That is the break. Harriers have been below par in the first half and will need to find their fluency in the second half but Ebbsfleet are making it very hard.

44- So close! Gregg Pearson makes a good run into the box to meet Johnson's cross and manages to knee it goalwards but Preston does well to put it behind with an athletic save.

43- Good spell of pressure from away side. After Harriers defend one corner, Josh Scott's shot is blocked by Gowling for a second. Harriers defend it well.

41- Briggs concedes a FK when he fouls Alabi. Carew delivers the ball but Lewis, who is wearing a cap because of the son, takes it well.

37- Free kick for Harriers as Carew was all over Storer.
The midfielder hits a fine effort which flies just wide and nestles in side netting. Carew is then booked for his efforts.

35- Ashley Carew delivers a corner which Demetriou heads away but when the ball falls to an Ebbsfleet player just outside the area, the home team do not react quickly enough and an Ebbsfleet player fires a poor shot wide.

31- Harriers midfield is not quite working at its best. Vincent and Briggs are trying to swop passes quickly but keep getting in each other's way.

30- Minutes in and it is a game where neither defence looks totally convincing. Ebbsfleet look big and strong up front. At the back, the Kent side are very leaky.

27- Gregg Pearson turns sharply in the box and sees a shot blocked. Malbon pounces on loose ball and sees a cheeky effort saved by Edwards.

23- Ebbsfleet are not out of this game. Josh Scott fires wide when he gets free on the right side of the box. Moments later, Danny Lewis saved Ashley Carew's on target free kick.

A quick note on Harriers' goal. Liam Daish went apoplectic with the fourth official as he was certain either Storer had fouled Enver-Marim or Pearson had fouled Edwards. It did not matter, the goal stood.

Ebbsfleet's goal has merely forced Harriers to step it up and the away defence looks shaky every time the hosts drive forward.

Harriers go close twice! First Preston Edwards makes a fine save. Moments later Pearson misses the ball and Vincent races through in a one on one but he takes too long and Edwards blocks on the floor.

The goal for Harriers was a bit of a scramble. Johnson had delivered a cross from the left. Kyle Storer was big and strong to beat Liam Enver-Marum to the ball. Gregg Pearson also marked the keeper Preston Edwards, who took a tumble as Vincent fired home.

12- Goal! Dammy Shitta fires in a rising shot from the edge of the area. Danny Lewis stretched a hand to it everybody thought it had went over the bar but it had looped under to leave Harriers trailing.

8- In-form Malbon sees his persistence pay off as he hustles Paul Lorraine off the ball but he shoots wide when trying to aim for the bottom corner.

Amari Morgan-Smith has been recalled by parent club Macclesfield, while Callum Gittings is on the bench.
