Former Harriers youth team coach loses battle with cancer

FORMER Harriers community and youth team coach Dave Edge has passed away after losing a long battle with cancer.

The former Sunderland player, who was part of the Black Cats' FA Cup winning squad in 1973, work with the young players who strived for a professional contract at Aggborough between 2003 and 2001.

He helped Zac Costello, Nathan Hayward and Robert Thompson-Brown earn professional contracts at the club.
