PITCH UPDATE: Southport v Harriers

SOUTHPORT are looking for volunteers to help clear water off the pitch at Haig Avenue ahead of tomorrow's Harriers' Blue Square Bet Premier.

Snow which which fell on the playing surface has largely melted but with the game set for a 1pm kick-off, the Sandgrounders are appealing for fans to help from early in the morning.

Southport are keeping their fingers crossed that the snow expected between 8pm and 10pm tonight is not as bad as expected.

There are no plans for a pitch inspection at the moment but if the weather is bad, one will be happen before 8am tomorrow morning.
