That is full-time! Harriers pushed late on but it was not enough. Alfreton deserved the points for their defensive efforts. Harriers, who did not have a striker on the bench, have only themselves to blame for a soft display in both boxes.

Good work by Fowler to find Storer, who smashes in a long range effort to hand Harriers a lifeline.

Mickey Demetriou strikes a nice low free-kick which deflects wide for a corner for Harriers.
Harriers hit on the break by Alfreton. Three 3-0 may be harsh on Harriers but they have been far more clinical than Kidderminster.

63- Harriers have a free-kick and Fowler's delivery looks as it comes off Wood but the referee blows for a goal-kick, much to frustration of Gash.
Harriers make a change as Dior Angus replaces Anthony Malbon in the 62nd minute.
60- Malbonbwalks gingerly off with Gavin Crowe. It is a worry for Harriers but he returns to the pitch.
59- A worry for Harriers as Anthony Malbon picks up a knock while chasing a long ball forward.
57- Josh Law shoots wide of the right hand post for home side.
57- Harrors are just not firing in front of goal. Johnson delivers a nice left wing cross and Gash flicks a header just off target.
Paul Clayton held off a defender and teed up Shaw, who made no mistake.

50- Dan Bradley shoots over after a great run from Akinde, who took advantage of Gowling's poor challenge.
47- Another missed chance! Lee Vaughan crosses from the right and Gash heads it over at far post. Surely a goal is coming for Harriers.
46- John Akinde turns near the centre circle and drives forward but fires wide.

That is the break. Alfreton have defended well but Harriers should be level. Anthony Malbon and Marvin Johnson have both missed great chances, while Kyle Storer was unlucky to hit the bar.
If they continue like they have done in the last 25 minutes they will surely score.

31- Johnson sends in a cross but this time it is too close to Atkins, who takes it well.
29- Malbon misses a glorious chance! Johnson speeds down the left and tees up the striker but he puts it wide with a first time effort.
25 So close! Kyle Storer's left footed 20-yard pile driver hits the bar and bounces down. It looked like it went over the line before it bounced away but nothing is given.
23- Jon Akinde muscles past A startled Mickey Demetriou. But the big striker is not the quickest and Josh Gowling tracks back and slides into win the ball.
22- Danny Lewis dives to beat away a shot from Tom Shaw which takes a deflection. Alfreton are on top.

18- What a save by Atkins! Johnson races down left and slips in a lovely low ball which Malbon fires goalwards but Atkins dives to his right to push it behind.
16- Harriers try to attack down the right but Lee Fowler fouls a defender and it is a free-kick to home side.
13- Harriers win their first corner. Chey Dunkley challenges Atkins but the referee blows for a foul.
Josh Gowling mis-judges Law's free-kick and ex-Red Dan Bradley steals in and stabs the ball past Danny Lewis.

9- Dan Bradley wins a corner off Storer. Josh Law delivers the ball but Harriers clear it and try to hit hosts on the break but Malbon can only find an Alfreton player.
7- Johnson races down the left and elivers a good cross and Fenton heads the ball across his own goal. That could have been easily an own goal.
6- Mike Gash nods ball into path of Malbon, who fires a shot at keeper.
5- Nick Fenton climbs over Kyle Storer and heads ball away from a Johnson cross.
4- Alfreton play some nice stuff and carve open Harriers but the ball is cleared for a throw in. Harriers go on the attack but it breaks down as Lee Vaughan's pass goes out of play.
2- Johnson races down the left and sends in a low ball but it is deflected into the path of keeper Atkins.
Harriers have a good record at the Impact Arena but the games are generally pretty close. Nicky Law has done some good work in pre-season so this will be a tough test.
