PREVIEW: Barnet v Harriers
1:48pm Friday 1st November 2013 in News
STRIKER Michael Gash could be back to boost second-placed Harriers' goal-scoring options ahead of tomorrow's Skrill Premier clash at Barnet.
The hitman is pushing for a start after being out for ten days with a hamstring injury.
His return would be timely as Anthony Malbon and Amari Morgan-Smith are doubts with injury and illness after their efforts in Tuesday's FA Cup replay win over Bradford Park Avenue.
Chey Dunkley (knee) could be back for the clash at the Hive, while Marvin Johnson may get the nod after his heroics as a substitute against the Yorkshire side.
Jack Byrne is also out after a sustaining a hamstring.
Mickey Demetriou will make his first start after returning from a broken wrist.
He made an impact as a substitute in mid week, a switch which saw Danny Jackman move into midfield at the expense of Lee Fowler.
Jackman, who has spent the last month deputising at left-back, may start in central midfield in London ahead of the former Forest Green man.
Assistant boss Gary Whild said: "We wanted to make a change at half-time against Bradford and we decided Lee would come off.
"He has been one of our most consistent performers this season and he was unlucky to be taken off, because there were a few contenders to be replaced."
Barnet, managed by the colourful former European Champions League winner Edgar Davids, have lost just three times in the league but have struggled in recent weeks with just two wins in ten.
But the Bees have made a solid start to life in the Conference Premier and are eighth in the table.
Barnet will be without Davids this weekend due to suspension while Jake Hyde (ankle) and Curtis Weston (leg) continue to recover from injuries.
Andy Yiadom and Elliot Johnson are likely to be available while Luke Gambin also returned to training this week.
Fans unable to make the clash can follow all the action with The Shuttle's live match blog which will have team news before the 3pm kick-off, followed by the all action and full-time result and report.
