NEW signing Josh O'Keefe is set to ake his debut in Harriers' clash at Gateshead tomorrow.

The 25 year-old former Republic of Ireland U21 International arrives at Aggborough on an 18-month contract having spent the last season and a half with the Bulls, pushing on from midfield with a fantastic scoring rate.

The former Blackburn Rovers man has joined on an incentives-based deal.

His arrival marks a busy final day of the January transfer window.

The club have released Lee Fowler, James Dance and Dior Angus.

Jack Dyer has also returned to Burton following a loan spell at Aggborough. He had started the last two matches.

Harrier have also signed Freddie Ladapo, Adrian Cieslewicz and Santiago Aloi this month.

The Carpetmen face a testing trip to fellow play-off chasers Gateshead tomorrow (3pm ko).

The Heed are in the final play-off spot but if Harriers were to win they would leapfrog them back into the top five.

It is only seven days after Harriers FA Cup clash at Sunderland.

“It’s back up there and back to the same hotel!” commented Andy Thorn.

“We’re going up there and we’re confident – we’ll show them the respect that they deserve but we are going to get the points.

“There are 54 points to play for yet and it is important that we get ourselves in there and stay in amongst it but we’ll go after the big boys.

“There are a lot of games [to play], people drop away and results go against teams.

“But we need to be consistent and stay in there; if we can’t catch [the teams at the top] then we need to be right at the top of our game going into the play-offs.”

Gateshead have added Jordan Holt and extended the loan JJ O'Donnell.
