HARRIERS have sealed the West Midlands Football Association Under 19s Futsal Championship.
The academy is run in partnership with Birmingham Metropolitan College and academy manager Steve Guinan led the team to the men’s Midlands regional qualifiers last week.
Harriers saw off Telford College of Arts and Technology 6-5.
Guinan said: “We had another hugely successful day and all credit to the players for winning back to back matches.
“Futsal really helps players develop their touch and control and taking part in these types of small-sided games offers the chance to improve their overall skills.
After a thoroughly comprehensive performance in the qualifiers, the Football Academy will now move on to the combined club and college national semi-finals in May, with the ultimate national finals taking place a month later.”
Harriers U18s also won their Worcestershire County Cup quarter final match against Stourport Swifts, securing a semi-final place against Lye Town.
