Mixed results for Harriers' play-off rivals

HARRIERS are five points off the play-off places in the Skrill Premier after mid week games.

While Gary Whild’s men do not play until Saturday, when they tackle Grimsby Town at Aggborough, several of their promotion rivals were in action.

The Mariners leapt up to third in the table after Alex Rodman bagged a goal in the 1-0 win at Hereford United.

Braintree continued their push with an impressive 4-0 win at Southport, with Dan Holman bagging a brace. The Iron are sixth, just one point behind fifth in the table Alfreton.

Forest Green missed a chance to go above Harriers after being edged out 2-1 by Woking.

Braintree also go to seventh-placed Halifax tomorrow night.

The Reds remain tenth in the table and they face vital games against Grimsby on Saturday and Forest Green Rovers next Tuesday.
