HARRIERS’ FA Trophy First Round clash at Bradford Park Avenue tonight (7.45pm ko) looks set to go ahead after the pitch at the Horsfall Stadium passed an inspection.

A statement from the Conference North side said: “Following a pitch inspection conducted by tonight’s fourth official, the pitch at the Horsfall has been declared fit to play.

"There is very little water on the pitch and the majority has been cleared, and with the forecast for the rest of the afternoon as dry, and the skies looking clear, the club are, at this moment in time, positive about the game going ahead.

"However, this is subject to the temperamental weather of the moment.

"The club would also like to make a plea to any fan who could possibly get down to the Horsfall with their own fork to help clear any remaining water on the pitch.

"This would be greatly appreciated and you would be playing a huge part in getting this game played."
