HARRIERS face a trip to bogey side Dartford trying to stop their two-game losing run its tracks.

Back-to-back home losses to Southport and Forest Green mean Gary Whild’s side will be aiming to bounce back in Sunday’s 3pm kick-off.

But they face a test at Dartford’s Grass Banks home, which is not a happy hunting ground for the Reds.

Harriers have lost 1-0 and 3-0 in recent trips to the Kent club.

But manager Gary Whild was full of praise for his side, who despite the club’s financial worries and the sale of Nathan Blissett and Chey Dunkley and loan departures of Michael Gash and Josh O’Keefe, are still in the hunt for promotion.

Despite recent defeats, they are seventh in the Vanarama Conference and just a point off the play-off spots.

Whild said: “We’re a point outside the play-off spots which is a marvellous achievement for those group of lads.

“When you think we have sold two of our better players and had Josh Gowling out injured it’s a tribute to the lads who have come in and kept it going.

“I am delighted with how the lads are doing.

“It’s a bit of a miracle that we are where we are in the league.

“It’s our job to get the best out of these lads and up until Christmas I think we’ve managed to do that.”

Dartford are struggling in the bottom four and have just won just three of their last ten games at home in all competitions.

Striker Craig Reid said: “It is probably a good thing there’s another game coming up so quickly.

“We’ve got a chance of putting things right the thing we did wrong against Forest Green.

“It will be difficult down there, but we’ll be prepared for that and we’ll be going for three points.”
