KYLE Storer says Kidderminster Harriers players’ will be ready for tomorrow’s crunch clash against fellow promotion chasers Macclesfield Town.

Aggborough is set for one of the biggest games of the campaign between two sides with their sights firmly set on making the Football League collide.

Harriers are sixth in the table after Eastleigh defeated Lincoln last weekend, while the Silkmen are third, with a five point gap over Kidderminster.

Manager Gary Whild wants his forwards to find the back of the net after they suffered a three-game losing run at home and bounce back from Saturday’s 1-0 FA Trophy defeat to Altrincham.

He was also critical of some of his senior players and threatened to make changes.

Storer, who is nursing a broken bone in his right hand sustained at Dartford, said: “It is a big game, it’s a cliché but Macclesfield are a good side, a big side and we’ve always done reasonably well against them.

“We had wanted to do well in the FA Trophy, but we’ll pick ourselves up and go again and hopefully get three points in the league.”

Harriers’ opponents are themselves inconsistent with two wins and three defeats in the last five games, although they recorded a fine 2-1 win at Grimsby Town.

Denny Johnstone, who scored at Blundell Park, has extended his loan from Birmingham City, while Macclesfield also boast former Reds hitman Matthew Barnes-Homer.

The Aggborough outfit though have more options at the, with Jordan Tunnicliffe back from being cup-tied in the FA Trophy last weekend.

Aman Verma (back) and Marvin Johnson (hip) are also expected to return from injury but Josh Gowling (knee) is another week away from playing.

Jamie Spencer is eligible to play, while Keyon Reffell will be pushing for a start after his eye-catching performance from the bench against Altrincham.

Fans unable to make the game can follow all the action with The Shuttle’s live match updates from 2pm on Saturday.
