NEW Harriers signing Danny Wright has vowed to the score the goals which revive their play-off push in the Vanarama Conference.

The 30-year-old has signed a contract until the end of the season and will be available for tonight’s game at Aldershot Town.

Wright joined Forest Green Rovers in 2013 and made 40 appearances, scoring eight goals, but had not featured for the club this season before signing for Gateshead at the end of August 2014.

The striker can count Wrexham, Cambridge United and Histon amongst his former clubs, and has scored over 80 goals in almost 300 league appearances throughout his career.

“I’m delighted to join Kidderminster,” Wright said.

“In the end things didn’t quite work out how I thought they would at Gateshead, and Kidderminster are closer to home to my family near Gloucester - I’m hoping to settle down somewhere and get my career back on track.

“It’s a good move for everyone involved, so hopefully I can hit the ground running and help kick Kidderminster on towards the play-offs.

“I’ve scored 10 goals already for Gateshead this season in a relatively short period of time so I’m looking to do the same for Kiddy.

“I’ve been in and around the play-offs with Wrexham, which is where I know Creights from, and I got there with Histon when we finished third in the Conference in 2009.

“I’ve had plenty of experience in this league and hopefully I can use that to bring to the squad and give us a boost.

“I've met a few of the lads already and I’m glad to be available for selection tonight.

“It’s just nice to get back down south, get amongst the lads and get playing again.

“I’ll be working hard, which is a big part of my game - I put in a lot of hard work as a big target man.

“I want to bring plenty of positives to the team and some experience to help us kick on.

“I’m confident in myself to bring some quality to the team and hopefully that can have a good effect.

“I can’t wait to get going, get back to playing football and scoring goals.”

Wright and fellow new addition Aaron Wildig are set to be thrown into the fray for tonight’s clash at Aldershot.

While at home, Harriers are struggling, the story is different on the road with three straight wins.

In contrast, Aldershot have lost five and drawn one of their last six games at the Recreation Ground.

The Shuttle will have a report from the game on our website tonight.
