FOOTBALL: Harriers fans' team ran out 6-1 victors over Halifax at Brown Westhead Park.

Player/manager Dave Goode had a 14-man squad to choose from and the youthful line-up flew were straight out the blocks.

Good work from Andy Morgan and Colin Jordan resulted in a deft Goode header breaking the deadlock.

Adam Matthews volleyed in at the back post on 40 minutes, but it owed much to the persistence and cross of Steve Thomas.

Just before half time Goode then lashed in his second from 30 yards on the stroke of half time.

A looping Goode header made it 4-0 on the hour and he added Harriers fifth.

While Halifax pulled one back, Matthews bagged his second to seal the win.
