HARRIERS were shot down by Tom Murphy's double as their atrocious run of form continued.

Kidderminster's depressing winless run is now eight games as Murphy scored in the seventh and 79th minute.

In truth, the away wide always looked more likely to end their own poor run.

Manager Gary Whild made four changes from the team which lost to Eastleigh.

He handed rookie striker Jamie Spencer a first league start and also recalled Ahmed Obeng.

Danny Wright and Aman Verma also made the starting 11, while Keyon Reffell and Lee Hughes dropped to the bench and Craig Reid and Kennedy Digie missed out completely.

Obeng, who looked lively, saw a left-footed shot fly wide as Harriers looked to make an early good start.

But Dover stunned the home side and opened the scoring in the seventh minute.

Keeper Danny Lewis rushed out to collect a long ball only for Murphy to take the ball away with a deft first touch and slot into the back of an empty net.

Spencer pounced on a stray header from defender Richard Orlu but the Dover man did well to race back and cut out the forward's low ball for the on rushing Jake Green.

Harriers tried to reply and Danny Wright fired over the bar from a Green cross.

Spencer then saw a weak header saved by keeper Andy Rafferty after a good run and cross from Obeng.

Green also spun neatly and directed his effort over the bar as Kidderminster's lack of confidence in front of goal was laid bare.

Midfielder Aman Verma also saw several low shots fly off target.

But it was Dover who nearly doubled their lead in the 44th minute when Murphy raced through a gap in the home defence but Lewis save well wih his legs.

Harriers made a change at the start of the second half, when Callum Gittings replaced fellow midfielder Jack Byrne.

Danny Wright nearly levelled the scores after a strong run into the box, only to  denied by Rafferty, who spread himself wide and save at the base of the post.

But Dover looked more dangerous and was teed up by Nick Deverdics and rolled an effort just wide of the post.

Payne exposed the gaps in the home defence again with another direct run but Lewis was equal to his shot.

Harriers made more changes as Hughes and Keyon Reffell came on during the second half in order to try and find a spark for the home side.

But Murphy doubled Dover's lead with some individual skill in the 79th minute.  The skilful forward controlled the ball brilliantly before beating Kevin Nicholson and scored with a chipped effort.

Harriers' efforts were not enough as their poor run in front of goal continued. A man in a Kidderminster shirt has not scored in six games and the season cannot end quickly enough.
