AMAN Verma looks set to miss tomorrow's high profile home clash against title chasing Bristol Rovers.

Harriers boss Gary Whild has a few headaches in midfield for the visit of the second-placed side.

Verma had to come off because of a twisted ankle in Saturday's 1-1 draw at Telford.

With Jack Byrne already a doubt because of a persistent hamstring problem, Harriers are down to the bare bones in the centre of the pitch.

Lee Hughes is set to return after illness saw him miss out yesterday.

With Aggborough set for the biggest crowd of the season, Rovers have sold their 2,600 ticket allocation, manager Gary Whild wants his side to throw a spanner on Rovers' promotion push.

But he also laments the financial restraints which have seen him almost completely rebuild his squad.

The departure of Michael Gash, Josh Gowling and Kyle Storer as well as the sale of Nathan Blissett, Chey Dunkley and Marvin Johnson has laid waste to Kidderminster's promotion dreams.

He said: "There is a going to be a good following and a big crowd, which is great.

"The pity is for us is that if things had been different we probably have been in there with a shout and the game would have meant more from our point of view.

"It was not to be and we need to be ready for Monday.

"We missed Lee Hughes and we need him for a big game and hopefully he will be ready.

"With the way we are at the moment, this is the type of game we want to be playing in.

"We have Bristol and Barnet, so we can have our own say, it is a pity we are not involved and I am sure we could have been."

Tomorrow's game sees Blissett return to his former club after joining Rovers for a fee thought to £70,000.

The game is also important because it will help to pay club employees the rest of their wages for March.

Staff were only paid a third of their money last week.

Whild added: "More things are coming to light with what we've had to deal with.

"The only downside for me, it would have been great to have the full compliment of players going into Monday with a chance of the play-offs but we can't do that."

Rovers will arrive at Kidderminster on the back of just one loss in 17 games and a 5-1 demolition of Chester on Friday.
