HARRIERS ensured Barnet's title party would be delayed for at least another week after a spirited draw at Aggborough.

Danny Wright had headed the hosts into the lead during a day where they more than matched the Vanarama Conference leaders.

But substitute Luisma Villa ensured a point for the Bees with a 75th minute strike.

It was an impressive response to last week's disappointing 3-0 loss at Welling and cheered fans who have had to endure a testing campaign riven by money worries.

Manager Gary Whild made a host of changes from the side which lost so disappointingly at Welling.

The Reds recalled Josh O'Keefe, who had not played for Kidderminster since October, Kevin Nicholson, Jordan Tunnicliffe and Jack Byrne - back from injury.

It meant that the hosts fielded a much more experienced side compared to recent games.

Barnet could clinch the title if they won and Bristol Rovers lost to Dover but looked nervous against a completely committed home side.

The first half saw little chances but some impressive defending from the hosts, who had contained Bees top scorer John Akinde.

Barnet who also handed a start to striker Michael Gash, who had left Harriers in January under a cloud.

The forward had a chance to launch an attack in the 14th minute but Kidderminster player of the season Jared Hodgkiss make a well-time challenge.

Barnet were struggling to get behind the solid home team but Akinde broke free in the 18th minute saw his cross blocked by the impressive Jamie Grimes.

Harriers striker Lee Hughes thought they should have had a penalty after going down in the box under pressure from Elliott Johnson but his pleas were ignored by the referee.

Grimes performed more heroics in the 32nd minute when he athletically find himself to clear Andy Yiadom's low shot.

But the hosts took full advantage in the 39th minute as they took the lead. Hughes flicked on Nicholson's free-kick and Wright rose highest to head home.

Barnet cranked up the pressure in the second half and Danny Lewis produced a fine save in the 52nd minute.

The pacey Johnson had teed up Akinde but Harriers' shot-stopper tipped the shot onto the bar.

Lewis then did very well to block Akinde in the 55th minute as the Bees dangerman tried to fire his shot off.

Harriers though were happy to hit the away side on the break. Substitute Craig Reid flicked the ball to Wright, who ran the length of the pitch but was denied by keeper Graham Stack.

But Barnet continued to plug away and Akinde saw a header hit the bar.

Kidderminster sensed a second goal and Nicholson curled an effort over the bar.

But the away side's persistence paid off in the 75th minute when substitute Luisma Villa made an immediate impact and slotted home after a surging run by Chris Weston.

The hosts were absorbing mounting pressure from the Bees and once again Lewis denied Akinde as he charged down on goal.

Substitute Keyon Reffell nearly won it for the hosts in time added on but steered his left-footed effort just wide.

But Kidderminster send their supporters home happy with a fine performance.

The title race will go down to the last weekend as Rovers and Dover drew 1-1.
