FORMER England goalkeeper Tim Flowers has bolstered Harriers by re-joining the club’s coach staff.

Flowers, will team up manager Gary Whild and Mark Creighton This is his second spell at the club after coming on board with Whild and Creighton midway through the 2013-14 season.

Harriers went on to lose just once in 13 outings at the tail end of that term, at which point the former Blackburn Rovers goalkeeper secured a move to Championship giants Nottingham Forest where he worked as part of Stuart Pearce’s backroom team.

After leaving the City ground, Tim has taken time away from day-to-day work in football but returns to Aggborough alongside Whild and Creighton to prepare for the 2015-16 term.

“It goes without saying that someone of Tim’s stature, experience and knowledge of this level of the game is second to none, and is someone I have a very high regard for him,” commented Whild.

“We’re delighted to have Tim back involved in a hands-on way at the club as the three of us worked really well together when I first came back here; we’re very lucky to be able to have him and he really enjoys it here.

“Without embarrassing Tim, he certainly isn’t coming here to change his life in terms of financial gain in wages – it’s about doing what he wants to do and being involved in football so in that respect it is a bit of a coup for us.”
