GARY Whild hailed the heroics of keeper Dean Snedker after Harriers' spirited draw with Grimsby Town.

While Reece Styche and Aman Verma both bagged equalising goals, it was the first half heroics of Snedker, 20, who kept them in the game.

The former Brackley stopper pulled off a string of saves to deny Nathan Arnold and Omar Bogle.

While Padraig Amond opened the scoring just before half-time, Snedker ensured the hosts were not trailing by more.

Styche punished sloppy defending to make it 1-1 on the hour mark but Andy Marshall made it 2-1 in the 67th.

But as Grimsby sat back, Harriers pressed and Verma headed home from a Jared Hodgkiss cross in the 92nd minute.

"We are delighted the come back the way we did," said manager Gary Whild.

"Dean Snedker demonstrated what we saw in pre-season, that he's an exciting young keeper.

"We told the players at half-time that he had kept us in the game and we'd get one or two chances.

"Fair play to Reece Styche for his equaliser, I thought that was reward for his hard work.

"We changed things at half-time and matched up with Grimsby and I thought we play some good stuff.

"Once we got a foothold we played some good football and the second goal was a fantastic delivery from Jared and a textbook header from Aman."
