HARRIERS have completed the signing of former West Bromwich Albion prospect George Cater on a deal until the end of the season.
The 18 year-old will train with the first-team squad at Aggborough and, in the first instance, be involved in the club’s U21 fixtures with a view to breaking through in to the first team.
Cater had a spell at Kiddy during pre-season where he scored and assisted in the friendly win at Bedworth United in July.
That came after his release from West Brom, where he first joined as a 14 year-old, rising through the ranks at the Hawthorns to earn a two-year, full-time scholarship and a regular in their U18s squad.
George, who is comfortable out wide or in a more advance position, commented: “I really enjoyed my time here in pre-season and I am happy to have signed my deal.
“I am just glad to be able to get my head down and get to work.”
The youngster is also the son of new director Gary Cater, who is awaiting the greenlight from the FA.
