STRIKER Gurjit Singh is set to give Kidderminster Harriers a much-needed boost ahead of tomorrow’s home clash against Woking.

The striker marked his return from a month long injury absence when he made a cameo appearance in Saturday’s FA Cup loss to Stourbridge.

The Singh, who has scored four goals and generally been a bright spark, will be pushing for a start against the Cards.

Bottom of the table Harriers are still searching for a first win since March 28 and head coach Dave Hockaday will have had to pick his players up off the floor after a lacklustre display against the Glassboys.

He said: “I have been here for a couple of weeks now and that’s all I have seen of him, so I had to bring him on blind.

“I was told he was a goal-scorer and he had a great chance to score; I think a fully-fit Singh would have put that away.

“We need a goal scorer and he is our top scorer; he has been out injured for a while and it just says where we are.”

Harriers face an equally out of sorts Woking side, who also suffered FA Cup humiliation at the hands of Maidenhead United.

As a result, manager Garry Hill has put his entire squad up for loan. Woking have won just one of their last seven games in the Vanarama National League.

Woking charman Mike Smith told BBC Sport: "Saturday's performance fell far, far below what Garry deserves and what the football club deserves.

“The players have been left in no doubt about what it should mean to be a player at Woking Football Club.

"A circular has gone out making the entire squad available for loan. If they don't want to contribute then we'd be quite happy for them to go and ply their trade somewhere else."

The Surrey side have signed former Tamworth and Cambridge striker Adam Cunnington on-loan from Ebbsfleet.

Woking are without goal-scoring Scott Rendell, who is out for the season after an operation on a knee ligament injury.
