COLIN Gordon has praised Zaine Francis-Angol's attitude since returning to training and has insisted that the defender is committed to Harriers.

The former Motherwell, who is contracted to the club until the end of the 2016-17 campaign, was quoted in the Scottish media how he was looking for trials to earn a move away last month.

However, Kidderminster's chairman has said the versatile left-sided player has been one of the top performers in pre-season since his situation has been cleared up.

The left-footer did have a trial with Hamburg in January before signing a contract with Kidderminster.

Kidderminster Shuttle:

"Zaine didn't play in a trial and since he has returned to the club he has trained like a Trojan. He really is looking fantastic," said Gordon.

"We had a talk to clear the air; there was a little bit of crossed lines between us and as much as Zaine wants to play at a higher level, if someone from higher above comes in for him then great.

"He has been absolutely brilliant since coming back.

"It was an unusual situation, we knew nothing about it, but the good thing is we have fixed things before the games started."

Harriers are set to welcome a full strength West Bromwich Albion squad for tomorrow's first pre-season friendly at Aggborough.

While a number of trialists are set to be on show for the Reds, Tony Pulis is expected to bring a strong squad.

Albion played two almost completely different teams in Austria, with former loanee Kyle Howkins featuring in the second half.
