COACH Matt Gardiner kept his feet firmly on the ground after yesterday's stunning 6-1 victory at Curzon Ashton.
Harriers made a winning start in the National North with a brilliant display as Arthur Gnahoua bagged a brace, while Elton Ngwatala, Ashley Carter, Mani Dieseruvwe and Liam Truslove hit the back of the net.
But while this was undeniably Kidderminster's biggest away win away from home on the opening day of the season in living memory, Gardiner was keen not to get carried away.
He said: "Curzon are a very good team, we have had them watched and they play football the right way.
"We are trying to be competitive in every game and that's what we were trying to do at Curzon.
"We have moved the ball very well and it was great to see it all come off.
"But it is early days, it is nice to get off to a winning start but that's all it is.
"Curzon are a good team but this is just three points, there are a lost more tests to come."
Harriers now kick-off their home campaign on Tuesday against Brackley (7.45pm ko).
