HARRIERS will check on the fitness of right back Jared Hodgkiss ahead of tonight’s game at Nuneaton Town.

The defender limped off injured after 15 minutes in Saturday’s goalless draw against Chorley.

If he doesn’t make it, Tyrone Williams will continue to deputise after an encouraging display at the weekend.

After two frustrating home results against Brackley and Chorley, the Reds will be keen to bounce back and replicate the opening game of the season, where they blitzed Curzon Ashton 6-1.

Nuneaton just missed out on making the National North play-offs last season and will be a tough test for Harriers.

So far, Kevin Wilson’s side lost 3-2 to Halifax but bagged their first point of the season with a 1-1 draw against Bradford Park Avenue.

Kidderminster keeper Sam Hornby said: “The boys worked hard all over the pitch and, at the end of the day, it was a point against a good Chorley team.

"They aren't a bad team and will be up and around there, so we'll go again Tuesday and work hard.

"We'll get there, we just have to be patient and keep moving the ball.

"You're always disappointed not to win because of the high standards we set ourselves, but it's a good point on the board.

"Hopefully we can get the three on Tuesday."

Harriers winger Tyrell Waite returns to the club he ended last season with, while Nuneaton have former Kiddy keeper Dean Snedker among their ranks.

Nuneaton’s Jordan Nicholson is a doubt with shin splints, while Tom Elliott is on the road to recovery.

Boro boss Kevin Wilson will be looking for a 90 minute display after salvaging a draw thanks to Joe Ironside’s late winner.

He told the Nuneaton News: "That is not good enough for me. We played in one half only and that will not do.

"It was one of the worst halves of football I have seen since I have been manager of Nuneaton if I am being honest. We were negative, we didn't do anything that we can do well.

"There were some harsh words at half-time after that and some changes in the second half. That seemed to spark something out of us, albeit in the last 15-20 minutes.

"I want to see more of that now. We need to show that kind of desire and penetration throughout the game now. What I have seen from the opening two games has not been at the level we need to be at."
