HARRIERS were beaten on the road for the first time this season as they were downed at Telford on Tuesday.

Boss John Eustace was forced into making a change for this game - not a problem Harriers have had to contend with too often this season, with alterations to the reds' starting eleven at an absolute premium this season.

The suspended James McQuilkin was the man to miss out - he served his one-match ban while Ashley Carter was drafted back into the side, after, ironically enough, completing a three-match ban of his own.

Harriers looked to make a swift start to this game but a hard-working and disciplined Bucks side ensured they were unable to build any sustained momentum - in fact, it was the home side who had the first chance of goal when a block inside the area saw the ball fall to James Hurst on eight minutes; he shot at Hornby who showed good hands to gather it.

So stunted were they by their hosts, Harriers only really managed to fashion one chance in the first half of any note - Tyrell Waite's cross finding the head of striker Mani Dieseruvwe on 24 minutes, only for the striker to nod wide.

Sure enough Harriers were made to pay for that - with another rare sight of goal, the home side took the lead barely sixty seconds later when a low shot from Micah Evans was deflected beyond Hornby by the unwitting Williams to the delight of the Telford fans.

Harriers introduced Liam Truslove at the break but were as hugely frustrated after the restart as they were before it; Waite narrowly missing out on a Truslove pass as he looked to get on the end of it.

Truslove ironically had the ball in the net five after the hour as Truslove tapped home a rebound from a smart Montgomery save, only for the effort to be ruled out for offside.

Telford could and perhaps should have added a second with less than a quarter of an hour to play, Hornby forced into a strong, reactions save as he got his body in the way of a powerful volley from sub Dawson.
