HARRIERS have confirmed the return of Elton Ngwatala on a contract until the end of the season.

The Frenchman needs little re-introduction to the Harriers fan base.

Over the last 18 months or so he’s made close to 60 appearances for the club with his trademark style and flair, netting ten goals in the process.

At the end of last season he’d been widely tipped for a move into the Football League, but after staying in very close contact over the course of the summer the 24-year-old is coming back to Worcestershire.

Chairman Colin Gordon accepted it was a unique set of circumstances.

He explained: “It has taken a lot of hard work and the manager has been very persistent in keeping in touch with Elton throughout the summer.

“There’s no doubt that Elton loves the club and the way we play – it showcases him in the best way possible.

“If someone comes in for him then we have agreed that we won’t stand in his way, so if he gets an opportunity we will support him; but in order for him to get that chance he’ll need to be playing well for somebody and we’d rather that be with us than our competitors who were very keen to sign him.

“He’s a class player and everybody knows that.”
