How the rated:

Harriers 2, Leamington 0.

Hall: didn't have a great deal to do for large parts but came and punched well when required. Solid distribution too. 6.

Williams: Decent showing from the attack-minded full-back who was captain for the night. Did what was required in defence and continued to back up attacks down the right channel in the second half. 6.

Taylor: Impressive display from the former Stoke youngster. Was quick into the challenge and made some important blocks mid-way through the first half. He also became more adventurous down the left flank as the game wore on. 7.5.

Weeks: Solid if unspectacular showing as he deputised for captain Croasdale in the deeper central midfield role. Tidy on the ball to keep Harriers on the front foot and was always an option from deeper build up play. 6.

Daly: A commanding performance from the centre back. Won his battles at the back whilst also providing a real threat in the opposing penalty area. Caused havoc at times when winning headers at the far post when going upfield for corner. 7.5.

Digie: Continues to show promise and will be learning all the time alongside the experienced Daly. Defended well when required. 6.

McQuilkin: Found more space and time on the ball in the second half and began to affect the play more. Another solid showing from the man who makes Harriers tick. Combined well with Weeks in the middle. 7.

Sonupe: Harriers' main attacking threat during a largely frustrating first half. He was the one who offered the most width of the side's attackers and always a danger with his pace on the turn. Won the penalty to break the deadlock and kept his compose to provide the long range finish that wrapped up the win. 8.

Ironside: Showed well for the ball all evening as he looked to bring Harriers' support players into the game. Starved of real chances but stepped up to convert from the spot and will hopefully be able to build on his first goal of the new season. 7.

Ngwatala: Frustrating evening for the talented number 10. Showed flashes of what he can do with some neat turns and driving runs forward in the first half but looked short of match sharpness. 6.

Bradley: Like Ngwatala, the game past him by a little. He played narrow and drifted inside from the left but could influence the game as he'd have liked. 6.

Subs:

Brown: Replaced Bradley with 15 minutes left on the clock and slotted in on the left flank. Did have the chance to make the impact as the clash drew to a close. 6.

Austin: Late replacement for goal scorer Sonupe. N/A.

Joachim: Struggled to influence things after replacing Ngwatala mid-way through the second half. 6.

Unused subs: Webb, Keane.
