VERSATILE defender Duane Courtney became the 11th contracted player at Harriers when he signed a one-year deal today.

The 24-year-old has caught the eye with composed performances in central defence and at full-back against Stourport Swifts and Wolverhampton Wanderers so far this pre-season.

Courtney started his career at Derby and Birmingham City but came into his own when he joined Telford and became the club's player of the season.

His form earned a £25,000 to Burnley but a lack of first-team chances saw him move to Welsh Premier Division outfit T.N.S in 2006.

There he earned a place in the country's team of the year and made 35 appearances last season.

His deal has been completed and we now await the formality of International clearance from Wales to allow him to compete competitively.

He signing comes hot on the heels of winger Kyle Hadley, who put pen to paper on a one-year contract earlier today.
