Harriers v Grimsby - the odds
8:00am Friday 14th September 2012 in News
Kidderminster remain winless after last week’s draw against Southport but as Harriers looked on course for a defeat in that clash before Anthony Malbon’s late leveller, the result could in fact provide a much-needed morale boost for Steve Burr ’s men ahead of the visit of Grimsby.
Nevertheless, Harriers will kick off as BetVictor’s 11/5 underdogs at Aggborough, where the Mariners are 13/10 favourites with Stan James and Ladbrokes mark 23/10 against the stalemate.
The latter is set attract cash given last week’s Kidderminster result and the fact that the visitors have shared the spoils in three of their four away fixtures, so it follows that both a 1-1 scoreline at 13/2 via William Hill and bet365’s 5/1 for it to be level at the end of each half, could also prove popular. Burr’s charges however, created a plethora of chances a week ago and will surely feel that a victory is just around the corner.
Bet365 make Kidderminster 4/1 to snare that elusive three-point haul by a one-goal margin and in a contest that Skybet quote at 8/13 to produce three or more goals, it’s 9/1 courtesy of BetVictor for Harriers to finish on the right side of a 2-1 scoreline.
In what should be a tight affair, Stan James rate Burr’s team at 6/1 to secure the win after a level first half, Paddy Power post 5/4 against Kidderminster in the ‘Draw No Bet’ market and the undecided can cover both the home win and a draw at 4/7 (Stan James).
On-loan striker Richard Peniket meanwhile, is 15/2 with bet365 to open his Harriers account by breaking the deadlock and BetVictor make the game’s first goal 17/20 to arrive before the 27th minute.
