KIDDERMINSTER Harriers have been given a boost with the news defensive lynchpin Josh Gowling did not break his leg in Tuesday’s win over Hyde.
The influential 28-year-old, who was named player of the month for September, was carried off after injuring his shin.
But an X-ray revealed there was no break and physio Gavin Crowe will assess over the next few days how long he will take to recover.
He said: “There’s no break but Josh is sore so at this moment I am not sure how long he’s out for.”
Crowe was also full of praise for midfielder Kyle Storer, who returned from a knee injury quicker than expected.
Storer came on as a substitute against Hyde to set up Ryan Rowe for the third goal.
“Kyle is back a lot quicker than expected and he’s worked very hard,” added Harriers’ physio.
