Harriers kept their second clean sheet in a week but just could but find the spark to get the win that would have taken them into second spot in the Skrill Premier.

A draw was a fair result on the night as both teams snuffed out each other's attack with competent defensive displays.

The home side had most of the play throughout, but lacked any real imagination when they tried to fathom a way to break down their opponents at the back.

After a spirited but lack-lustre first half, Harriers did improve and three substitutions pepped up their attacking intentions after the interval.

But in truth, they never really carved out a clear-cut chance in the entire 90 minutes and there was always that niggling feeling that Aldershot were capable of pinching the all-important goal that would have settled it.

It  was Harriers first draw of the campaign and they now have 22 points from 12 games, five behind leaders Cambridge and one behind Nuneaton who both have a game in hand.
