Harriers 3, Salisbury City 0

WONDERKID Joe Lolley bagged a stunning hat trick to ensure Andy Thorn got off to a winning start in the Harriers’ hot seat on Saturday.

Talented 21-year-old Lolley scored a fine individual effort and two second half penalties to produce the perfect leaving present before his big money move to Championship side Huddersfield this week.

After a testing seven days where fans were still taking in Steve Burr’s surprise sacking and his replacement by Thorn, there was relief all round they got back on track in the Skrill Premier.

The win arrested a run of four defeats in five league games and raised them back into the top five.

Thorn said: “I tried to stay out of the way a little bit. I have said before what a good job the previous manager did. But the support the fans gave me was fantastic, I would like to thank them for that.”
