Four-midable Baker tackles runs
RUNNING: Amazing Feet RC member Richard Baker completed the five-event Marathon Tour of Coventry and Warwickshire series with four races in as many days over the Bank Holiday weekend.
Having completed the opening five mile round the week before, Baker then took part in the Peeping Tom 4.2 kilometre time trial on Friday, finishing 39th out of 60 in a time of 20 minutes and 28 seconds.
In the Black Prince 10km race, which took in parts of the private Packington Park Estate, Baker came 42nd of 65 runners in 51-40.
He then tackled the Lord Leofric 10km race at the Pro-Drive motor testing circuit, finishing in a time of 51-40 to come 39th of 63 finishers.
In his final race on Monday, the BBQ Breakfast 10km at Warwick University, Baker completed the course in 51-32 in 52nd position out of 71 competitors. Baker's final position for the Tour was 36th out of 58, completing the 26.2 mile marathon distance in 3-36-18.
Craig (23-37, 19th) and Sarah Lewis (31-13, 79th) took part in the Sheinton Steeplechase event, along with 100 other athletes.
Results from the previous week's Offa's Orror 20km multi-terrain race were Craig Bone (22nd of 229 in 1-36-29), Craig Lewis (37th in 1-40-34), Ian Hall (69th in 1-48-08), Mark Bailey (70th in 1-48-08), Simon Gregg (80th in 1-49-34), Peter Trow (121st in 1-55-02) and Sarah Lewis (188th in 2-14-32).
