Jay walks for penalty protest
Sutton Coldfield Town 2
Stourport Swifts 1
TEN-MAN Swifts let a half-time lead slip as they returned from Coles Lane empty-handed.
Keeper Chris Jay was sent off for dissent in the final stages, one of a number of Stourport players furious with the officials who failed to spot a handball by Sutton defender Sam Wilson.
The visitors began well and took a deserved lead on 15 minutes. Richard Colwell played a through ball to Duncan Willetts who was then brought down by keeper Chris Gemmell. Swifts skipper Nathan Jukes fired home the resulting penalty.

The visitors continued to hold the upper hand until the break with strikers Craig Marshall and Willetts sending efforts just wide of the target.
But Sutton came out battling in the second half and were back on level terms on 53 minutes when Craig Owen's cross was turned home by Nathan Moran.
Former Hereford United striker Justin Rowe was tripped inside the area by Willetts on 69 minutes and Moran stepped up to slot home the penalty, sending keeper Jay the wrong way.
There should have been a third spot kick awarded two minutes from time when Wilson palmed away a Willetts pass but the referee ignored the appeals if not the protests. With Jay off the pitch, and with all three substitutions made, Jukes finished the match in goal.
Swifts: Jay 5, Smith 8, Robinson 7, McComisky 8, Jukes 7, Wood 6 (Blake 71), Colwell 7 (Broadhurst 79), Webb 7, Marshall 8, Willetts 8, BURGESS 9 (Tomkins 71). Subs (not used): Ladek, Lavery.
