Hunt aims for a winning return
STOURPORT Swifts manager Neil Hunt admits he has mixed feelings' about his side's relegation clash away at bottom team Malvern Town in the BGB Southern League Midlands Division One clash on Saturday.
This will be the first time Hunt has come up against the club he guided to two promotions since he quit it at the end of last season because of budget constraints.
The manager says he's fully focused on rebuilding Swifts squad and guiding them away from the relegation zone to mid-table safety.
"I went to see Malvern lose 4-0 at Chasetown on Saturday. I have mixed emotions about the club because I really enjoyed my time there and it has some good people," said Hunt.
"Unfortunately, the budget is not big enough and I can see why they are struggling.
"It's a shame because I managed to get them promoted twice and I would have liked to see someone build on that success."
Hunt has also continued to reshape the squad over the last week, signing former Evesham United midfield man Simon Fitter and striker Dean Roberts.
He has also released Adam Blake, while Ryan Broadhurst has joined brother Leon at Stourbridge.
Swifts' league clash away at Dunstable Town was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch on Saturday.
