Swifts hoping for big crowds

SWIFTS manager Neil Hunt is hoping the fans flock to Walshes Meadow for the club's BGB Southern League Division One Midlands clashes over Easter weekend.

esurgent Stourport welcome mid-table Bishops Cleeve on Saturday and promotion chasing Chasetown on Bank Holiday Monday.

The club hopes that a large travelling army from Chasetown will boost Monday's attendance, while a 12pm kick-off will also attract fans of Kidderminster Harriers, who welcome Rushden and Diamonds to Aggborough at 3pm.

"These two games are a good indicator of how far we have come over the last few months," said Hunt.

"The team has really improved over the last few months and hopefully we are starting to attract more attention.

"Chasetown bring a lot of fans so we're hoping to get a big crowd on Bank Holiday Monday."

In a bid to try and encourage large crowds over the weekend a child under the age of 12 will be allowed in free if accompanied by a paying adult.

Craig Webb may play a part in both matches after coming through Monday night's 1-0 friendly loss to University of Birmingham unscathed.

Hunt also cast his eye over a number of trialist during the match as he plans for next season progress.
