Bewdley back on track

BEWDLEY Town joint-manager Craig Payton was glad to see his side get back to winning ways after they saw off Bustleholme 2-0 on Saturday in the West Midlands Premier.

Goals for Chris Hough and Craig Webb ensured the Ribbesford Meadow outfit won their first match in six.

“We got the goal and should have scored more but Bustleholme came back into the game,” said Payton.

“Craig Webb scored late on to seal the win and we’ve got to make sure we keep the winning habit.”

Bewdley have bolstered their striking options by signing striker Luke Towler from Bromyard.

The hitman has played for Bewdley and Kidderminster Harriers as a youngster and has been in good form for Bromyard.

Bewdley entertain Dudley Sports in the West Midlands League Premier Division on Saturday and then go to Wolverhampton Sporting Community a week later (both 3pm ko).
