STUDENTS from Holy Trinity International School bagged a host of medals at Wyre Forest Swimming Club’s presentation evening.

Seven pupils received accolades at the awards, which acknowledged a whole host of up and coming young swimmers from across the district.

Nine-year-old Ellie Bainbridge secured an astonishing total of 15 gold medals over the last 12 months to earn her award.

There were also individual race successes enjoyed by 10-year-olds Olivia Jay and Ria Chance.

Head of the Preparatory School, Jon Brunt, said: “Right from the first days of swimming lessons in Kindergarten, children are encourage to learn how to swim and to enjoy swimming which is important in helping them develop confidence from an early age.”

Bainbridge (1st, U9s), Niamh Larkin (1st, U8s), Alex Rosser-Barnett (1st, U9s), Imogen Rhodes (2nd, U9s) and Charlotte Robinson (3rd, U8s) were all handed awards.
